A WARMWELCOME
I'm Dr. Jennifer Helgert. Lawyer, negotiation and conflict expert.
Your success is a matter of stance.
DO YOU WANT TO BE RIGHT OR TO SUCCEED?
I HELP PEOPLE STAND UP FOR THEIR GOALS SUCCESSFULLY AND PERSUADE WITH WISDOM.
Communicating smartly means leading conversations so that we no longer face each other, but face the problem together.
The world becomes a better place when we use communication to find better solutions, instead of forcing them through power and confrontation.
I've experienced both kinds of conversation. Today I always choose the smarter one.

My philosophy
KINTSUGI OR THE GOLD WITHIN US
“There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in”
Leonard Cohen
Skilled conversation and conflict leadership have a lot in common with the Japanese art of Kintsugi, a deeply respectful way of treating broken pottery.
What is Kintsugi?
It uses urushi lacquer and powdered gold to rejoin shards of porcelain, creating a new "golden bond". Cracks are emphasised, not hidden. These golden scars bear witness to the conscious choice of overcoming difficulty in a way that creates value. The porcelain becomes an even more precious masterpiece.
What does Kintsugi have to do with communication?
Kintsugi accepts that not everything is perfect, and at the same time emphasises that we always have a choice in how we deal with brokenness and challenge.
Walk with us on new paths of communication and discover the gold within you when you've learned
- to create connection, even when it's difficult
- to stand up for yourself with a clear conscience
- to achieve the best outcomes for you and the people around you.

My professional practice gave me deep insight into the world of human decision-making and the conflict behaviour that accompanies all of us every day. At the same time, I learned to bring about change, to negotiate successfully and to lead moderated proceedings that make a new kind of agreement possible.
Since then I've known: every conflict is solvable, and wise negotiation can be learned.
Today I focus on passing on my experience and skills.
I particularly enjoy highlighting the connective abilities of women. Our pronounced sense for interpersonal dynamics and our intuitive empathic capacity are a valuable key to combining success, influence and composure in even the most difficult situations.
